What language is the tour in?
The chateau's regular guided routes are conducted in Czech, with foreign-language text you can follow along with. If English matters on your date, ask us before booking and we will check what is scheduled.
What is the difference between the two tickets?
Representation Halls is the guided route through the state rooms. Via UNESCO adds the Flower Garden, which is a separate site about ten minutes' walk away — it covers both halves of what UNESCO inscribed.
Do I choose a time?
Yes. The guided routes leave at fixed times, so your ticket is tied to a departure. We confirm the exact time in writing before you travel.
Is the Flower Garden at the chateau?
No, and it catches people out. It is a separate walled garden roughly ten minutes on foot from the building. Build the walk into your plan if you have the Via UNESCO ticket.
Who qualifies for the reduced rate?
Children under 15, students under 26 with valid ID, visitors over 65, and ZTP or ZTP/P card holders. The chateau checks eligibility at the door, not us.
Do young children pay?
Children under 6 enter free and need no ticket. From 6 to 15 they take the reduced rate, or travel on the family ticket.
What does the family ticket cover?
Two adults and two or three children under 15, on one booking with one departure time. Larger groups should book the extra people separately and we will keep the booking together.
Was Amadeus really filmed here?
Yes. Miloš Forman shot parts of Amadeus at Kroměříž in 1984, using the chateau interiors as a stand-in for the Hofburg in Vienna.
Can I see the Titian?
The Flaying of Marsyas is the best-known work in the chateau's picture gallery. Gallery access depends on the route and the season, so tell us if it is the reason you are coming and we will confirm before booking.
How long should I allow?
About 90 minutes for the Representation Halls, or half a day if you are doing Via UNESCO and want time in the Flower Garden.
How do I receive the ticket?
By email, as a mobile e-ticket with a QR code, together with your confirmed departure time. Nothing to print.
Is this the official website?
No. We are an independent concierge service that buys the official ticket for you and answers questions in English. You can also buy directly at zamek-kromeriz.cz.
Who is this not for?
If you want to wander at your own pace, this is the wrong place — the state rooms are seen on a guided route at a fixed time, in Czech. The gardens are the part you can take slowly.
